Indications

Quetiapine is indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depressive episodes in the context of bipolar disorder. This medication acts on certain neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to stabilize mood and reduce symptoms associated with these disorders. It is important that the use of quetiapine be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the most appropriate dose and duration of treatment for each patient.

Composition

Each 25 mg Quetiapine tablet contains 25 mg of quetiapine (as fumarate) and excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

Quetiapine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to quetiapine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of manic episodes related to antidepressant use.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering quetiapine to patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, seizure disorders, or those at risk of developing neuroleptic malignant syndrome. It is essential to evaluate the patient's health status and conduct regular monitoring during treatment.
