Indications

Punab is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. It is also used for renal protection in patients with type 2 diabetes and evidence of nephropathy. Additionally, it may be useful in patients with congestive heart failure and in reducing the risk of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy.

Composition

Each Punab tablet contains 50 mg of Losartan as the active ingredient. Inactives: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and other excipients.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Losartan or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renal artery stenosis, renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, or dehydration. It is advisable to monitor kidney function and electrolytes during treatment. Diabetic patients or those receiving diuretics should be carefully monitored due to the risk of hyperkalemia.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
