Indications

Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury, and fibromyalgia. It is also used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures in patients with epilepsy. Its mechanism of action is based on the modulation of excitatory neurotransmitter release, which contributes to pain reduction and control of epileptic seizures.

Composition

Each Ultra Capsule contains 75 mg of Pregabalin as the active ingredient. Excipients include: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, titanium dioxide, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or to any of the excipients in the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with renal insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of depression or mood disorders. It is important to evaluate the risk of adverse effects in special populations, such as the elderly and pediatric patients. The use of Pregabalin may be associated with an increased risk of suicidal thoughts in some patients.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
