Indications
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injuries. It is also used in the treatment of epilepsy as adjunctive therapy for partial seizures in adults. Additionally, it has been indicated for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder in adults. It is essential that the use of pregabalin be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment, based on the patient's specific condition.
Composition
Each capsule contains 75 mg of pregabalin as the active ingredient. Excipients are:
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency, as well as in those who are being treated with medications that may interact with pregabalin. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with mood disorders or depression. It is important to monitor patients over 65 years of age due to an increased risk of adverse effects. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is recommended to be avoided, as this may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
