Indications
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of epilepsy in adults, specifically as adjunctive therapy in partial seizures. It is also used in the management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injuries and in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Pregabalin has been shown to help reduce the frequency and severity of epileptic seizures and improve the quality of life of patients suffering from neuropathic pain, as well as for anxiety control in patients with anxiety disorders.
Composition
Each capsule of Pregabalin 150 mg contains: Pregabalin 150 mg, excipients: starch, gelatin, colorants and others.
Contraindications
Pregabalin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or to any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or lactating women unless the benefit outweighs the potential risk, nor in patients with severe renal insufficiency without dose adjustment.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with kidney insufficiency problems. It is important to monitor for adverse effects and adjust the dose as needed. It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
