Indications

Pralex is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes and generalized anxiety disorders. It is effective in reducing symptoms such as persistent sadness, loss of interest in daily activities, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic disorder. Treatment response may vary among patients, and medical follow-up is important to adjust the dose according to clinical evolution.

Composition

Each Pralex tablet contains 10 mg of escitalopram as the active ingredient, as well as inert excipients that contribute to the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Pralex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to escitalopram or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within two weeks after their discontinuation. Its use should also be considered with caution in people with a history of mania or hypomania disorders.

Precautions

Continuous medical monitoring is recommended during treatment with Pralex, especially in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, seizure disorders, or those who consume alcohol. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication can cause discontinuation symptoms, so a gradual dose reduction under medical supervision is suggested.

Storage

Store Pralex in its original packaging, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
