Indications

Pemifhen (Meropenem) is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, including, but not limited to:

  • Complicated intra-abdominal infections.
  • Nosocomial pneumonia.
  • Complicated urinary tract infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Infections in immunocompromised patients.

This medication is effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including strains resistant to other antibiotics.

Composition

Each vial of Pemifhen contains:

  • Meropenem: 1 g
  • Excipients: water for injection, citric acid, among others.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Meropenem, to any other carbapenem antibiotic, or to any of the components of the formula.

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizures or neurological disease, as well as in those with renal insufficiency. Dose adjustment is recommended in patients with impaired renal function. It is important to monitor renal function during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
