Indications

Paroxetine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This medication acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), helping to improve mood and reduce anxiety. The effectiveness of the treatment may vary depending on the individual patient's response, and constant medical monitoring is recommended during treatment.

Composition

Each tablet contains 20 mg of Paroxetine. Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Paroxetine or any of the components of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and within the first 2 weeks after discontinuing these medications.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of mania/hypomania, epilepsy, bleeding disorders, or in those who are being treated with other drugs that affect coagulation. The risk of suicide should be assessed, especially in the first months of treatment or after any dose change. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended unless the benefit outweighs the potential risk.

Storage

Store in a dry and cool place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
