Indications
Pantoprazole is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production. It is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where there is inflammation of the esophagus due to stomach acid. It is also indicated in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. Additionally, it is useful in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition in which excessive levels of gastric acid are produced.
Composition
Each tablet contains 20 mg of pantoprazole as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
The use of Pantoprazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using pantoprazole in patients with severe liver disease, as well as in those requiring prolonged treatments. Regular medical monitoring is indicated to detect possible adverse effects. It is also recommended to rule out malignancy in cases of gastric ulcers before initiating treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
