Indications
Oxolvan solution is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases involving mucus production, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and asthma. Its mucolytic action facilitates expectoration by reducing mucus viscosity, which improves respiratory function and alleviates associated symptoms. This medication can also be used in the treatment of conditions requiring the mobilization of pulmonary secretions, as well as in surgical and diagnostic procedures of the respiratory tract.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Oxolvan solution contains 300 mg of Ambroxol hydrochloride as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, among others.
Contraindications
Oxolvan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcer or those with a history of severe allergic reactions to other mucolytics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with a history of asthma or respiratory problems. A risk-benefit assessment is recommended before administering the medication. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Storage
Oxolvan solution should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
