Indications

Oxolamine is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dry and productive cough in various respiratory conditions. It is used in cases of common colds, bronchitis, pharyngitis, and laryngitis, where coughing can be bothersome and contribute to irritation of the respiratory mucosa. Additionally, it is useful for relieving cough associated with allergic processes and as an adjunct in the management of respiratory infections. This medication acts on the cough centers in the central nervous system, reducing the frequency and intensity of coughing episodes.

Composition

Each 100 ml of syrup contains: Oxolamine 1 g as the active ingredient, plus excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxolamine or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory diseases without the supervision of a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. During treatment, it is recommended to avoid driving vehicles and operating dangerous machinery, as it may cause drowsiness in some patients. It is important not to use this medication for prolonged periods without the supervision of a physician.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
