Indications
Omygen (omeprazole) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to gastric hyperacidity. It is used in the management of diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which involves the backward flow of gastric contents into the esophagus, causing symptoms like heartburn and regurgitation. It is also effective in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. The medication can be used to prevent ulcer formation in patients requiring long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Additionally, Omygen is useful in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition characterized by excessive gastric acid production.
Composition
Each Omygen capsule contains 20 mg of omeprazole as the active ingredient. Excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, starch, among others.
Contraindications
Omygen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Omygen to patients with severe liver diseases, as well as in those with vitamin B12 deficiency, as long-term treatment may be associated with decreased absorption of this vitamin. Monitoring is recommended in patients with persistent gastrointestinal symptoms, to rule out the presence of malignancy.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
