Indications
Omeprazole is indicated for the treatment of various gastrointestinal conditions related to hyperacidity. It is primarily used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where it helps alleviate symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux. It is also indicated for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, which contributes to the healing of peptic ulcers. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in the prophylaxis of ulcers induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Composition
Each tablet contains 20 mg of omeprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
The use of omeprazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with severe liver diseases.
Precautions
It is recommended to evaluate the presence of alarming symptoms before starting treatment, such as unintentional weight loss, persistent vomiting, or difficulty swallowing. Long-term use of omeprazole may be associated with an increased risk of bone fractures and vitamin B12 deficiency. Patients requiring long-term treatment should be monitored.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
