Indications

Odivitor is indicated for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemias. Additionally, it is used for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease, including those with type 2 diabetes mellitus and other risk factors. Atorvastatin can also be used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve the lipid profile in patients with established coronary heart disease.

Composition

Each Odivitor tablet contains 10 mg of atorvastatin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation.

Contraindications

Odivitor should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to atorvastatin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with active liver disease or persistent elevations in transaminases, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Odivitor to patients with a history of liver disease, muscle problems, or kidney disease. Liver function monitoring is recommended before and during treatment. Additionally, interaction with other medications that may increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis should be considered.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
