Indications

Nuvaplast is indicated in the treatment of various malignant neoplasms, including ovarian cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. This medication is used as part of a chemotherapy regimen, in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents. Its use is intended for patients who have shown insufficient response to previous treatments or who present with recurrent disease. It is essential that Nuvaplast be administered under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional, who will evaluate the most appropriate therapeutic regimen for each patient. A comprehensive evaluation of the patient's health status is recommended before starting treatment, as well as follow-up during and after therapy to identify possible adverse effects or the need for dosage adjustments.

Composition

Each vial contains: Carboplatin 450 mg, excipients: water for injection, hydrochloric acid and other inactive components.

Contraindications

Nuvaplast is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to carboplatin or to any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency and in those with a febrile state or active infections. The use of this medication in pregnant or breastfeeding women must be rigorously evaluated by a doctor.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hematological disorders, as Nuvaplast may cause bone marrow suppression. Regular monitoring of hematological parameters during treatment is essential. Likewise, renal function should be evaluated before and during the administration of the medication, and the dose adjusted accordingly. Concomitant use of other nephrotoxic agents should be carefully evaluated.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
