Indications

Nosipren (prednisone) is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions requiring an anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive effect. It is used in the management of autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. It is also useful in the treatment of severe allergies, asthma, and obstructive respiratory diseases. Prednisone is prescribed for the management of certain neoplastic conditions and can be part of the therapeutic regimen in cases of organ transplantation to prevent rejection. Additionally, it is used in the management of endocrine disorders, such as adrenal insufficiency.

Composition

Each Nosipren tablet contains 5 mg of prednisone as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Nosipren is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in systemic fungal infections, active tuberculosis, and in patients requiring live virus vaccination. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases.

Precautions

Careful monitoring is recommended in patients with infections, as well as in those with gastrointestinal problems, psychiatric illnesses, or fluid retention. It is important to adjust the dose in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency. Prolonged use of prednisone can lead to significant adverse effects, so it is essential to follow the doctor's instructions and not stop treatment abruptly.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
