Indications

Nosipren is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. It is used in the management of diseases such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and inflammatory bowel diseases, among others. It is also employed in the treatment of severe allergic reactions and in some cases of cancer, as part of a therapeutic regimen. Prednisone works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune response, which is beneficial in conditions where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Prednisone 5 mg. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Nosipren is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in untreated systemic infections, nor in patients with active peptic ulcer or those with viral diseases such as chickenpox or herpes simplex without adequate treatment. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with pre-existing diabetes, hypertension, or heart disease.

Precautions

Monitoring is recommended for patients undergoing treatment with Nosipren due to possible adverse effects, such as suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, which can occur with prolonged use. It is important to avoid abrupt discontinuation of treatment, as this can precipitate an adrenal crisis. Likewise, regular monitoring of clinical and laboratory parameters is suggested for patients receiving high doses or treatments for prolonged periods.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
