Indications
Nosipren (prednisone) is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions requiring the anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive action of the medication. It is used in the treatment of allergic, dermatological, hematological, neoplastic, rheumatic diseases and in the management of autoimmune conditions. In addition, it can be used in situations of adrenal insufficiency and as part of the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Prednisone works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune system, which is beneficial in the management of these pathologies.
Composition
Each Nosipren tablet contains 20 mg of prednisone as the active ingredient. It also includes excipients such as starch, lactose and others to form the tablet.
Contraindications
Nosipren is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to prednisone or any component of the formula. It should not be used in uncontrolled systemic infections, and in patients with active peptic ulcer, severe osteoporosis, or those receiving live virus vaccines.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes, hypertension, renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those who are being treated with anticoagulants. It is important to perform medical monitoring during treatment to adjust the dose according to clinical response and avoid adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
