Indications

Norecsero is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults. This medication acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which helps increase serotonin levels in the brain, thereby improving mood and alleviating symptoms associated with depression. It can also be used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is important that the decision to use this medication be made by a physician, who will evaluate the clinical situation of each patient and determine the best therapeutic option.

Composition

Each Norecsero tablet contains 20 mg of citalopram as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, starch, hypromellose, among others.

Contraindications

Norecsero is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to citalopram or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients who are in a state of significant electrochemical imbalance.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of bipolar disorders, risk of suicide, or those taking other medications that may interact with citalopram. It is essential to monitor for the appearance of symptoms of mania or hypomania, as well as adverse effects during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
