Indications

Norapred (Prednisone) is a corticosteroid used in the treatment of various medical conditions, such as autoimmune diseases, severe allergies, and inflammatory disorders. This medication is indicated for the management of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Prednisone works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the body's immune response, resulting in relief from symptoms associated with these conditions. It is also used for the treatment of certain types of cancer, as well as in the management of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is important to note that the dosage and duration of treatment must be determined by a physician, as they vary depending on the disease and the patient's response.

Composition

Each Norapred tablet contains 5 mg of prednisone as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that aid in the formulation of the medication, which are inert and do not affect its efficacy.

Contraindications

Norapred is contraindicated in patients with untreated systemic infections, as well as in those with known hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with peptic ulcers, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and osteoporosis, as the use of corticosteroids can exacerbate these conditions.

Precautions

Regular medical monitoring is recommended during Norapred treatment, especially for prolonged treatments. Patients should be informed about possible adverse effects and the need not to discontinue the medication abruptly without the guidance of a healthcare professional. Additionally, the risk-benefit ratio should be evaluated in patients with cardiac, renal, or hepatic diseases.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
