Indications
Nifedipine is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and angina pectoris, as well as in some cases of hypertension in patients with coronary artery disease. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, causing blood vessel relaxation and improving blood flow to the heart, thereby reducing its workload. It is important that the use of Nifedipine be supervised by a physician, who will evaluate the patient's response to treatment and adjust the dose as needed.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Nifedipine 30 mg. Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nifedipine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in cases of cardiogenic shock, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, or in patients with severe aortic stenosis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other antihypertensives, due to the risk of hypotension. Concomitant use with medications that induce or inhibit the hepatic metabolism of nifedipine should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
