Indications

Neomycin/Polymyxin B/Gramicidin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections of the external and middle ear, as well as for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis. This medication is useful in the prophylaxis of post-surgical infections in otological and ophthalmic procedures. Its combined action helps combat gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, providing effective coverage for various bacterial strains. It is important that the use of this medication is under the supervision of a physician to ensure its proper indication according to the patient's clinical picture.

Composition

Each milliliter of solution contains: Neomycin 1.75 mg, Polymyxin B 5000 IU, and Gramicidin 25 mcg.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used in cases of viral or fungal ear or eye infections. Its use in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to aminoglycoside antibiotics should be avoided.

Precautions

It is recommended to use this medication with caution in patients with hearing problems, as well as in those receiving other ototoxic drugs. Additionally, self-medication should be avoided and medical follow-up should be ensured if symptoms persist or worsen after treatment.
