Indications
Nacomic (Miconazole) is indicated for the treatment of cutaneous and mucosal fungal infections. It is particularly effective in the treatment of ringworm, candidiasis, and other mycotic infections, as well as seborrheic dermatitis. Miconazole acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to the death of the fungus and resolution of the infection. This medication is also used in the management of fungal infections in moist areas of the body, as well as in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains:
Miconazole (as nitrate) 1 g.
Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, purified water, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to miconazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age without medical supervision. Application to extensive areas of damaged skin or mucous membranes should be avoided without appropriate indication.
Precautions
Use with caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals. It is important to avoid contact of the product with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or skin rash, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Likewise, it is recommended not to apply to open lesions or deep wounds.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
