Indications
Mycelvan Cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, caused by dermatophyte fungi and yeasts. It is effective in the treatment of ringworm (tinea corporis, tinea pedis), cutaneous candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Terbinafine, its active ingredient, acts by interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which causes their death. It is important to apply the cream to the affected area and its surroundings, following the doctor's instructions or the instructions in the package insert.
Composition
Each 100 g of Mycelvan Cream contains: Terbinafine 1 g. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, benzalkonium chloride, propylene glycol, purified water, among others.
Contraindications
Mycelvan Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended on extensive areas of skin, nor in patients with severe skin diseases. Its use in children under 12 years of age should be evaluated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when applying Mycelvan Cream to damaged skin areas or open wounds. In case of irritation or allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. Its use in combination with other topical treatments is not recommended without a doctor's supervision.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
