Indications
Mometasone is a corticosteroid used in the treatment of various inflammatory and allergic conditions. It is indicated for the management of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, itching, and nasal congestion. It is also indicated in the treatment of non-allergic rhinitis and can be used in the treatment of certain inflammatory skin conditions. Mometasone works by reducing inflammation and immune response, which helps to relieve the symptoms of these conditions. Composition
Each 1 ml of suspension contains: 0.5 mg of Mometasone (as Mometasone Furoate).
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mometasone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in the presence of uncontrolled infections, such as bacterial, viral, or fungal infections in the area of application.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of tuberculosis, viral or fungal infections, as well as in those receiving immunosuppressive treatment or systemic corticosteroids. It is essential to avoid prolonged use of Mometasone without medical supervision. The risk-benefit ratio should be evaluated in patients with diabetes mellitus or thyroid problems, as well as in those with glaucoma or cataracts.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Do not freeze.
