Indications
Minocycline is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including skin infections, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and some gastrointestinal infections. It is also used in the treatment of acne vulgaris and for prophylaxis of infections in surgical procedures. This antibiotic is effective against a wide variety of microorganisms, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as some anaerobic organisms. It is essential that the use of this medication be under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the severity of the infection and the patient's response to treatment.
Composition
Each tablet contains 100 mg of minocycline as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Minocycline is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to minocycline, other tetracyclines, or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, or in children under 8 years of age due to the risk of tooth discoloration and bone development alterations.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering minocycline to patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases. Close monitoring is important for patients who experience adverse reactions, such as skin rashes, gastrointestinal problems, or hematological abnormalities. Prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided, as this medication may increase skin photosensitivity.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
