Indications
Mifloko (Moxifloxacin) is indicated for the treatment of ocular infections caused by bacteria susceptible to moxifloxacin. It is used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial eye infections, as well as in the prevention of postoperative infections in ocular surgeries. This medication is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, making it a suitable option for the management of common ocular infections.
Composition
Each ml of ophthalmic solution contains 5 mg of moxifloxacin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as sodium chloride, purified water, and other components that help maintain the product's stability and effectiveness.
Contraindications
Mifloko is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin or other antibiotics of the fluoroquinolone group. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions to any of the formula's components.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney or liver disease. It is important to avoid contact of the dropper with non-sterile surfaces or the eye, to prevent contamination. If eye irritation persists or worsens, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. It is also advisable not to wear contact lenses during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children. Once opened, the product should be used within 28 days.
