Indications
Mezelol (Metoprolol) is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure, as well as for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of coronary heart disease. This medication works by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors, which reduces heart rate and blood pressure, thereby improving heart performance. In addition, it is used in the management of angina pectoris and may be useful in the treatment of chronic heart failure, under appropriate medical supervision.
Composition
Each Mezelol tablet contains 50 mg of metoprolol as the active ingredient. Excipients vary depending on the specific formulation, ensuring drug stability and absorption.
Contraindications
Mezelol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoprolol or any component of the formula. It is also prohibited in patients with severe bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and cardiogenic shock.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as in those with diabetes mellitus, as metoprolol may mask the signs of hypoglycemia. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep the product out of reach of children.
