Indications

Mexapin (Ampicillin) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to ampicillin. This includes respiratory tract infections, ear, nose, and throat infections, urinary tract infections, and some gastrointestinal infections. Ampicillin is effective against a variety of microorganisms, including certain strains of Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, and Escherichia coli, among others. It is important to perform sensitivity tests to confirm the susceptibility of pathogens before initiating treatment.

Composition

Each Mexapin capsule contains 250 mg of ampicillin, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

Mexapin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ampicillin or other antibiotics of the penicillin group. Its use should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the formula or related antibiotics.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. It is advisable to evaluate renal function in patients receiving high doses or prolonged treatments. The use of ampicillin may cause superinfections due to the alteration of normal flora, which should be considered during therapy.

Storage

Store the product in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
