Indications

Metamizole Sodium is indicated for the treatment of fever and acute or chronic pain. It is used in situations where effective pain management is required, such as in postoperative conditions, renal or biliary colic, and severe pain. It is also useful in managing high fever that does not respond to other antipyretics. Its analgesic and antipyretic action makes it a therapeutic option in various clinical conditions requiring symptomatic relief.

Composition

Each Metamizole Sodium tablet contains 500 mg of Metamizole Sodium as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Metamizole Sodium or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in cases of a history of agranulocytosis, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, and in patients with hematological diseases or coagulation disorders. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation without medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with asthma, cardiovascular diseases, or those receiving anticoagulant treatment. It is important to monitor blood counts during prolonged treatments, given the risk of hematological adverse effects. Patients should be informed about the signs of allergic reactions, and treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms occur.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
