Indications
Meloxicam is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of various painful and inflammatory conditions. It is used in the management of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other rheumatic disorders characterized by pain and inflammation. Additionally, it may be beneficial in the treatment of acute pain, such as postoperative pain or pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries. Its action is based on the selective inhibition of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which reduces the production of prostaglandins, substances that play a crucial role in mediating pain and inflammation.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Meloxicam 15 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: Lactose, starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Meloxicam is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to meloxicam or to any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in those with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those with hypertension or cardiovascular diseases. Regular monitoring is recommended in these patient groups. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants should be avoided without medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
