Indications
Mazzogran is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Sildenafil, its active ingredient, works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, thus facilitating an erection. This medication is recommended for patients who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection adequate for satisfactory sexual intercourse. It is important that the use of this medication be part of a comprehensive approach that includes medical evaluation and treatment of possible underlying causes of erectile dysfunction.
Composition
Each Mazzogran tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil as the active ingredient. Excipients may include microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Mazzogran should not be used in patients who are hypersensitive to sildenafil or any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients who are taking nitrates in any form, as this can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, severe hepatic insufficiency or severe renal insufficiency, as well as in those who have had a recent stroke or myocardial infarction.
Precautions
It is recommended to carefully evaluate the patient's medical history before starting treatment with Mazzogran. It is important to warn about the potential risk of cardiovascular adverse effects. Patients with anatomical deformities of the penis or with diseases that may predispose to a prolonged or painful erection (priapism) should be closely monitored. Excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it can decrease the effectiveness of the medication.
