Indications

Malival is indicated for the treatment of various painful and inflammatory conditions. Its use is recommended in cases of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, and other rheumatic diseases. It can also be used in the management of postoperative pain, as well as in the treatment of menstrual pain and other acute pain conditions. Indomethacin works by reducing inflammation and relieving pain by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are chemical mediators involved in the inflammatory response.

Composition

Each Malival capsule contains 25 mg of indomethacin as the active ingredient. Excipients may include gelatin, glycerol, and other inactive components that facilitate product formulation.

Contraindications

Malival is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to indomethacin or any component of the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe renal failure. Likewise, its use is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy and during lactation without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, asthma, or gastrointestinal problems. Renal and hepatic function should be monitored during prolonged treatments. Alcohol consumption should also be avoided during treatment, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
