Indications
Magoz (Zomitriptilan) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults. This medication acts on neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve mood and reduce symptoms associated with depression. It may also be used in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders, under medical supervision. It is important that the use of this medication is part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes psychological therapy and social support, according to the recommendations of the health professional.
Composition
Each Magoz tablet contains 2.5 mg of Zomitriptilan as the active ingredient. Excipients and additional components are: lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients that facilitate the formulation of the product.
Contraindications
Magoz is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Zomitriptilan or to any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients who have received treatment with these medications in the last 14 days. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, liver disease, or seizure disorders.
Precautions
Patients should be monitored for the possible appearance of adverse effects, especially at the beginning of treatment or when changing the dose. It is important to inform the doctor about any other medications the patient is using to avoid interactions. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended without proper assessment of the risks and benefits.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
