Indications

Lorotec (Ketorolac) is indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain. It is commonly used in the management of postoperative pain, as well as in painful conditions such as arthritis and muscle pain. This medication works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, resulting in an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It is important to note that its use should be temporary and the need to continue treatment should be evaluated based on the patient's clinical response.

Composition

Each Lorotec tablet contains 10 mg of Ketorolac tromethamine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and other pharmaceutical additives to facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or to any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers, a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless expressly indicated by a doctor.

Precautions

Lorotec should be used with caution in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney disease. It is important to monitor renal function and the patient's condition during treatment, especially during prolonged treatment. The concomitant use of this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is not recommended.

Storage

Store Lorotec in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
