Indications

Lonixer is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic pain, including postoperative pain, dysmenorrhea, and pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries. Additionally, it is used in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and tendinitis. Its action is based on the inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes, resulting in a decrease in the synthesis of prostaglandins, mediators of pain and inflammation. Its use is recommended for patients requiring effective pain control and those who do not respond to other conventional analgesics.

Composition

Each tablet contains 125 mg of Clonixinate Lysine, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Lonixer is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with active gastric ulcers, severe renal insufficiency, and in patients with severe liver diseases. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, asthma, and gastrointestinal disorders. It is important to monitor renal and liver function during treatment, especially in elderly patients or those taking other medications that may affect these organs. Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.
