Indications

Lisertil (tibolone) is indicated for the treatment of vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flashes and night sweats. It is also used in the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of fractures. Its mechanism of action is based on estrogenic, progestogenic, and androgenic activity, which helps restore hormonal balance in women who have gone through menopause. Additionally, it may be indicated in cases of vaginal atrophy and mood changes related to menopause.

Composition

Each Lisertil tablet contains 2.5 mg of tibolone as the active ingredient. It also includes excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Lisertil is contraindicated in women with a history of breast cancer, active thromboembolic diseases or a history thereof, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver diseases, and in those who are hypersensitive to the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in women with a history of hypertension, diabetes, liver or kidney diseases, and those who have had migraine episodes. Regular medical follow-up during treatment is important, especially in patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Prolonged use without periodic medical evaluation is not recommended.

Storage

Store Lisertil in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C) and protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
