Indications
Libonide (Budesonide) is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Budesonide is a corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation in the airways, which facilitates breathing and improves lung function. This medication is used in the management of acute and chronic symptoms, as well as for the prevention of asthmatic crises. It can also be used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and other inflammatory conditions of the respiratory tract.
Composition
Each Libonide ampoule contains 0.250 mg of Budesonide as the active ingredient. Excipients: water for injection, sodium chloride, among others.
Contraindications
Libonide is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in untreated or uncontrolled lung infections. It should be avoided in patients with active tuberculosis or untreated systemic fungal infections.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of tuberculosis, viral infections, or diabetes mellitus, as prolonged use of corticosteroids can alter the immune response. In addition, lung function should be monitored regularly in patients receiving long-term treatment. Concomitant use with other corticosteroids without medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
