Indications
Lezomiv is indicated for the treatment of hypocalcemia in cancer patients, as well as for the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases. It is also used in the treatment of osteoporosis in patients at risk of fractures. This medication works by inhibiting osteoclast activity, which results in decreased bone resorption and increased bone mineral density.
Composition
Each ampoule of Lezomiv contains 4 mg of Zoledronic Acid as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the product's formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Lezomiv is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to zoledronic acid or any component of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with severe kidney disease or who have a serum creatinine level greater than 3 mg/dL.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney problems, dehydration, or those receiving concomitant treatment with other medications that affect renal function. It is important to monitor renal function before and during treatment with Lezomiv.
Storage
Store at controlled temperature between 2 and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
