Indications

Latotryd is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to erythromycin. These infections may include, but are not limited to:

  • Respiratory infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Ear infections, such as otitis media.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Gastrointestinal infections, such as gastroenteritis.

Erythromycin works by interfering with protein synthesis in bacteria, which prevents them from multiplying and therefore helps the body fight the infection.

Composition

Each Latotryd tablet contains:

  • Erythromycin (as erythromycin base) 500 mg.
  • Excipients: Starch, cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Latotryd is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to erythromycin or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe liver dysfunction.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with liver or kidney problems, as well as in those receiving other medications that may interfere with erythromycin metabolism. It is important to perform adequate medical monitoring during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
