Indications
Laritol Drops is indicated for the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal and ocular itching, as well as nasal congestion. It is also used for the treatment of urticaria and other manifestations of allergic reactions. This medication works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Loratadine is a second-generation antihistamine that does not cause drowsiness in most patients, making it suitable for use in people who need to remain alert and active during the day.
Composition
Each milliliter of Laritol Drops contains 1 mg of loratadine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: glycerol, citric acid, purified water, and other components that allow for product formulation.
Contraindications
Laritol Drops is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine or to any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age without medical supervision. Caution should also be exercised in patients with severe liver diseases.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with liver disorders, and dose adjustment is recommended in these cases. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Likewise, a doctor should be consulted if symptoms persist or worsen after several days of treatment.
