Indications
Konaturil is indicated for the treatment of systemic and cutaneous fungal infections. It is used in the management of mycoses, including but not limited to candidiasis, ringworm, and seborrheic dermatitis. It is effective against various fungal species, helping to eradicate infections that can compromise patient health. It is also used in the treatment of infections caused by the fungus Malassezia, which is associated with various dermatological conditions. Additionally, it has been used in the treatment of some fungal infections in immunocompromised patients.
Composition
Each Konaturil tablet contains 200 mg of ketoconazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active liver disease or those taking certain medications that may interact with ketoconazole, such as some antihistamines and anticoagulants.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Konaturil to patients with a history of liver disease or those who consume alcohol. It is important to monitor liver function during treatment. Likewise, the risk-benefit ratio should be evaluated in pregnant or breastfeeding patients. It should not be administered to children under 2 years of age without adequate medical supervision.
Storage
Konaturil should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C.
