Indications
Ketrol is indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain. It is commonly used in postoperative situations, as well as in the management of pain associated with conditions such as arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions. It can also be used to relieve pain in traumatic situations or after dental procedures. Ketorolac acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that contributes to the reduction of inflammation and pain perception, offering significant and rapid relief in patients.
Composition
Each Ketrol tablet contains 10 mg of Ketorolac (as tromethamine) as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Ketrol is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active gastrointestinal ulcers, hemorrhages or bleeding disorders, severe renal insufficiency, or those who have received other NSAIDs. Its use in the third trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular or gastrointestinal diseases, or in those who are being treated with anticoagulants. It should be used with caution in elderly patients and in individuals with moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency. The administration of Ketrol should be short-term, and the recommended dose should not be exceeded to avoid adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
