Indications

Ketorolac is a medication indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain, as well as for the management of postoperative pain. It is also used in the management of pain associated with inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis, sports injuries, or dental pain. This drug acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for the sensation of pain and the body's inflammatory response. It is important that Ketorolac be used under medical supervision, since its improper or prolonged use can lead to significant adverse effects.

Composition

Each tablet of Ketorolac Sl contains 30 mg of Ketorolac (as tromethamine), as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active gastric or intestinal ulcers, severe renal failure, or those in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular problems, or those undergoing treatment with anticoagulants. Regular medical monitoring is recommended during treatment, especially in case of prolonged use. In addition, the risk of adverse reactions in the elderly and in those with pre-existing medical conditions should be considered.
