Indications

Ketorolac SL is a medication indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, as well as for the management of postoperative pain. Its use is common in patients who require pain relief after surgical procedures or in conditions that generate acute pain. This drug acts as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which contributes to the reduction of pain and inflammation.

Additionally, Ketorolac can be used in the treatment of pain associated with musculoskeletal diseases, such as sprains, strains, and arthritis. It is also effective in managing migraine pain and in reducing discomfort related to renal and menstrual cramps.

Composition

Each Ketorolac SL 30 mg tablet contains: Ketorolac (as ketorolac tromethamine) 30 mg, as well as the necessary excipients for its formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or bleeding disorders. Its use is contraindicated in pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, and in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Ketorolac to patients with a history of asthma, heart disease, hypertension, or those who are receiving other anti-inflammatory or anticoagulant medications. Constant monitoring of renal and hepatic function is recommended during prolonged treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
