Indications

Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is commonly used in postoperative situations, as well as for the management of pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions and other types of acute pain. It can also be used for pain treatment in cancer patients, as well as in dental and orthopedic procedures. The efficacy of ketorolac is due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for mediating pain and inflammation.

Composition

Each Ketorolac 30 mg tablet contains: Ketorolac tromethamine 30 mg. Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any of the excipients. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe renal insufficiency. It is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as in patients who have received anticoagulant treatments.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using ketorolac in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and in those with compromised renal function. Furthermore, prolonged use should be avoided to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal and renal side effects. Medical follow-up is essential in elderly patients or those receiving other NSAIDs.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
