Indications

Ketorolac 10 mg is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, including postoperative pain and pain associated with inflammatory conditions. It can also be used in the management of acute pain in various clinical situations, such as traumatic injuries or surgical procedures. It is especially useful in patients who require effective pain control without the use of opioids. This medication works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which contributes to its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Composition

Each Ketorolac 10 mg tablet contains: Ketorolac tromethamine 10 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to ketorolac or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, or during pregnancy and lactation without medical supervision. Furthermore, its use should be avoided in people with bleeding disorders or who are receiving anticoagulant treatment.

Precautions

Ketorolac should be used with caution in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or liver failure. Careful monitoring is essential in elderly patients and those at risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects. The administration of the medication must be supervised by a healthcare professional to avoid interactions with other drugs.
