Indications

Ketorolac is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain, which may be postoperative or derived from musculoskeletal conditions. It is also used in inflammatory processes such as arthritis and other painful conditions. This medication works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which helps to reduce both pain and inflammation. It is important to mention that its use must be supervised by a doctor, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment for each patient.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Ketorolac tromethamine 10 mg, excipients: lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or other NSAIDs, as well as in those with active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and in women during the third trimester of pregnancy. It should not be administered in combination with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those who consume alcohol or are at risk of bleeding. Regular monitoring of renal function and signs of bleeding is recommended during treatment. Prolonged use of ketorolac is not recommended due to its potential to cause gastrointestinal and renal adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from direct light and out of the reach of children.
