Indications

Ketorolac is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain, as well as for the management of postoperative pain. It is also used in the treatment of inflammatory conditions requiring pain management, such as musculoskeletal injuries and acute inflammatory processes. Its analgesic action is due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are key mediators in the inflammatory response and in pain perception. It is important to mention that its use should be supervised by a healthcare professional, especially in patients with a history of gastric ulcers or kidney problems.

Composition

Each tablet contains 10 mg of Ketorolac tromethamine as the active ingredient. Other inactive components may include excipients such as lactose, starch, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with active gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal failure, and in those who are receiving anticoagulants or who have a high risk of bleeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, asthma, cardiovascular diseases, and those who require surgery. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting treatment and during its prolonged use.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
