Indications

Ketoprofen is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, including dental pain, postoperative pain, dysmenorrhea, and headache. It is also used for the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other rheumatic diseases. Its anti-inflammatory action is useful in the management of pain associated with sports injuries and trauma. Ketoprofen acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, chemical mediators responsible for pain and inflammation.

Composition

Each capsule contains: Ketoprofen 100 mg. Excipients: gelatin, glycerin, colorants, and other additives.

Contraindications

Ketoprofen is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, severe hepatic insufficiency, and in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases. It should not be administered during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

It is recommended to use with caution in patients with a history of asthma, hypertension, heart failure, or kidney disease. It is important to monitor renal and hepatic function during prolonged treatment. In case of gastrointestinal symptoms, discontinuation of treatment should be considered. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs is not recommended, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
